The Lena Matar Association was established to honor Lena’s legacy by continuing her mission: making education accessible, fostering a love for learning, and encouraging individuals to embrace life fully.
Through innovative initiatives, the Association seeks to empower minds, support personal growth, and ensure that Lena’s passion for knowledge and joy lives on in countless lives.
Lena Matar was a passionate teacher, a lover of knowledge, and a believer in the joy of learning.
She dedicated her life to inspiring students, especially young women, to embrace curiosity, think critically, and approach life with both logic and happiness.

Each year, we honor Lena’s spirit of happiness by hosting a Christmas celebration for the children of Tannourine, the village so closely tied to her story. Through this tradition, we carry forward the joy Lena embodied, while nurturing lasting memories for the community’s next generation.
To encourage young minds to excel, the Lena Matar Association is launching a mathematics competition that celebrates talent and dedication. Top-performing students will be awarded university scholarships, carrying Lena’s legacy forward through knowledge and discovery.
